And yesterday, I participated in a local author “meet and greet” event at the Barnes and Noble store in Dewitt. I had the pleasure of meeting fellow author and leadership expert Julie Ann Whitten, who wrote The People Stack: Why Change Fails (and What Actually Fixes It)

We didn’t get a lot visitors stopping by our table, but I enjoyed talking to Julie and sharing stories about our publication journeys.

I also had to take a photo of some wall art in the in-store Starbucks. This image depicts one of my favorite authors, Langston Hughes.

And speaking of poets and poetry, I am currently reading The Pleasures of the Damned: Poems, 1951-1993 by Charles Bukowski. This brief piece of text by Buk rings true for me:
